A&R, St Mary's, Haddenham & Oxfordshire GC

Annie and Rob wanted to keep their suppliers local. And you don't get more local than me - if you live in Haddenham! They picked the classic combo of the village church and the nearby Oxfordshire Golf Club, a combo picked by previous wedding photography clients in Buckinghamshire.

If you've the blog on Gemma and Joe's wedding from last year at St Mary's in Haddenham, then you'll know how gorgeous it is. Ornate, beautiful surrounding and big enough for friends and family but also for me to skirt around grabbing the best shots. Sometimes churches can be on the cramped side, limiting where I can stand or move to, and therefore limiting the images I can capture.

We did group shots and a few bride and groom portraits outside the church, and also grabbed a few shots of Annie and Rob in their wedding car - a cute cream coloured VW camper.

The reception was at the beautifully kept Oxfordshire Golf Club just round the corner. It's elevated position over the Oxon/Bucks countryside makes it a dreamy setting for weddings. The course itself provides some enviable locations for couples portraits and we couldn't not make use of the famous bridge over the lake, which we got to in the obligatory golf cart.

Like a lot of other wedding clients, Annie & Rob chose a package that included a pre-wedding shoot, which put them in good stead for their couple's portraits on the big day itself.
