St Albans Register Office was a new one for me when it comes to wedding photography venues. But that doesn't put me off or put me into panic mode about where to get the best shots or how much space is there inside. I will always do a venue visit if it's a new one, or at least do extensive research on it, including making use of Google maps and images. Be assured, I've got it covered.
Lorna and Adam's wedding and reception were almost a month apart. It can be tricky accommodating a split day but it's not unusual and if I'm not booked on the days, then I'll never turn you down.
The wedding was in the beautiful St Albans Register Office - what once was the governor's residence of a former Victorian prison. Lorna's father is in the RAF (a small clue to the mysterious location of their reception venue) and escorted Lorna in full uniform, including ceremonial sword, which was passed to Adam for their exit (and swiftly handed back).
Their reception was in the officer's mess of an active RAF base. A grand residence with gardens ideal for couple's portraits (we did their pre-wedding shoot there, too).
Lorna and Adam were a delight to work with. So much fun on both days.
If you've found this page and enjoyed reading it, and are looking for a wedding photographer or know someone who is, get in touch. I'd love to chat.
Congratulations Lorna & Adam!
